The way that towns and cities have grown up in UK, means that the original settlement of Paisley is distinct from the original settlement of Glasgow, but over the years the two have grown - Glasgow more quickly - and there is now really no distance between the two that is not built-up. For those who don't know, Paislet is just to the Southwest of the City of Glasgow, and is accepted now as being part of Greater Glasgow. So, to answer your question, I would say that, yes, to all intents and purposes Paisley is in Glasgow, but with a Renfrewshire postcode.
