There are many things to do and see. depending on your age, of course, you might not agree. Louvre - massive art museum with La Gioconda (Mona Lisa) and Venus de Milo. Eiffel Tower - big iron structure. Loads of models of it on sale. Sacre Coeur - a basillica Notre Dame - Where Quasimodo lived River Seine - nice boat trips Metro - Paris version of the Tube Champs Ellyse - big road L'Arc de Triumph - big arch Many more, and I apologise for any mis-spellings

Don't forget the Museum Quay Branley. The finest collection of ethnic art I have ever seen. It is like the Louvre of ethnic art.

This may sound wierd but it is great. You can do a tour of the sewerage system beneath the city of Paris. It was revoluntioanry for the city in reducing mortality from disease and at the time was unique in design and size. You find it just at the end of one of the bridges, I'm sorry I can't remember which one, but look on a tourist guide, it may be on there.

Chartes Cathedral Arc de Tiomphe Eiffel Tower Notre Dame Louvre Versailles (Sp?)

I loved the Saint Chappelle. It was a chapel made for King Louis (I don't remember which one). I also loved the Musee D'Orsay. It was more manageable than the Louvre. You can actually see everything and not want to die of exhaustion. If you want to get away from the crowds the Pere Lachaise cemetary is good for a little down time and quiet.

Just had to add this of things to do......go to a Creperie! :) One of my favorite things to do when traveling abroad is try their food...and what is better than sitting in a small cafe on the Seine River waterfront eating delicious crepes? :) Of course there are all the other places to see...but one thing I advise? ENJOY the place you're at...at least take one time to sit and just soak it all in...that's my opinion. :)

A Turkish Bath (Hammam) - a wonderful way to recuperate after days of walking and taking in the sights. I went to Hammam de la Mosquee and it was incredible. Pere Lachaise cemetary - put a stone on the grave of your favourite literary or cultural figure. Also lots of amazing carved headstones and tombs. Musee d'Orsay - a bit easier to navigate and absorb than the Louvre (which is still worth a visit, but will take more time than you think!). Holocaust Memorial outside of Notre-Dame Cathedral - a thin entryway belies the intensity of the memorial within. The contrast of Notre-Dame rising from the earth and the descent into the memorial is an incredible image. And finally, the Catacombs are a great way to get a feel for the vastness of the history of Paris... as they say, bring a sweater; bring a friend. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catacombs_of_Paris

So much to see and do! There are coach tours around the city, shows, concerts and such, walking and biking tours, cultural and day trips -but specificially you wouldn't want to miss the Eiffel Tower, the Moulin Rouge Show and illuminations, Seine River dinner cruise, The Louvre for sure, Loire castles, and there is always the Disneyland Resort of Paris!

The Bibliotheque National & Printemps department store where you can shop & then either go to one of the in house restaurants for a meal or try their Tea room, where you can sample their famous Macaroons. If you want to take in the Louvre and the Musee D'Orsay they are both opened once week till 9:45. You could avoid the crowds in the evenings and visiting in the evening frees up your time to take in other sites during the day, besides it makes a nice evening out. Two other things that could make your Parisian holiday easier is that you consider purchasing the Carte Musée et Monuments Museums and Monuments Card. The card gives you free access and allows to skip the ques to over 70 French Museums. The other card I reccommed for your consideration is the Paris Pass. This card gives you both access to museums and historical sites. Here is the link to the company. http://www.paris-pass.com/ Enjoy your holiday.

I went to Paris in April & it was FANTASTIC! Some of the people are a tad snooty, they'll pretend not to speak any english (although most of them do!) but its still worth going, trust me. Some places that you'll definitely want to go and see would be: The Louvre: Classis stop every visitor should make. You might want to make a list of exhibits you want to go see. The Louvre is insanely HUGE, you'll never be able to see the whole thing in one day..I'd say stick to the basics like the Mona Lisa, Winged Victory etc..Its an amazing museum to visit! The Arc de Triomphe: You can go to the top and get a spectacular view of the city/ the Champs Elysees! The Tuileries: Beautiful walk beside thousands and thousands of flowers and wonderful sights! Notre Dame: (You can walk all the up to the top and take pictures next to the gargoyles! Its a blast! You can also see the famous bell at the top!) The Moulin Rouge: (It's in the middle of the 'red light' district, so its a little shocking to be looking at this famous place located in between sex shop after sex shop, just be prepared! :] Sacre Coeur (This was my favorite thing to go see, but try and go close to sunset, its the most AMAZING view! They have local Parisians playing music on the steps of the basilica, people sing along to the songs being played, its magical.) There is also this great dessert shop called "La Duree" its located on the Champs Elysees. The macaroons are to die for! The Hot Chocolate is fantastic as well! There is also this great restaurant called "Le Grand Colbert" its located right near the Palais Royale. Its great! You'll need a reservation though so look up the number online and call ahead! Have a great trip!!! You'll LOVE Paris!
