Some species are known to change sex, including reproductive functions, in special circumstances, such as the clownfish. A school of clownfish is always built into a hierarchy with a female fish at the top. When she dies, the most dominant male changes sex and takes her place. Most of the fish you see on a coral reef are sex-changing. Groupers, wrasses, parrotfish, damselfish, many of the gobies can change their sex. This may not be the answer you expected but it will give you a small idea as to how to better research this topic. Hope this helps.
