Other than both being Democrats, youngish and senator's, I can't see the resemblance. No, I do not think Barack Obama is the new JFK.
-
No I do not believe that he is, same party that is about it from what I see at the moment.
-
Unless Barack Obama is going to uncover the truth about our government and plan to distribute it to the public, then he does not hold a candle to JFK
-
This is an article written by Caroline Kennedy (JFK's daughter), comparing Barack Obama and her father. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/27/opinion/27kennedy.html?_r=2&oref=slogin&oref=slogin
-
short answer is i hope not-jfk is almost worshiped in this country but he put us closer to nuclear war then any one before or since-just my thoughts---smile and enjoy the night
-
No. But I do think he's the new US president. :-)
-
I think he is much like JFK is many ways. Both want major changes and go a new way. Both offer hope and concentrate on domestic issues. He is the closest to what JFK represented.
-
Yes !!!!!!!!
-
No, but he is very likeable.
-
No!!!!!!!!He is Obama, that's all. There will never be another JFK, Or a beautiful Happy Birthday song sung on national television by his lover. Clinton took care of that!
-
No, JFK was strong on national defense and would be considered a moderate, perhaps even slightly to the right on the political spectrum today. In his last budget he had more than twice the percentage of the budget dedicated to national defense/military as even Bush. Obama is way, way left of JFK. If you are speaking totally from the charisma perspective I can see it, on political ideals there is a big contrast.
-
Nope. don't see it at all.
-
I tend to agree with these opinions saying, he IS NOT the new JFK, and is only similar in negative traits: : http://www.boston.com/news/globe/editorial_opinion/oped/articles/2007/01/18/not_quite_the_next_jfk/ : http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/03/opinion/03rich.html : http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/features/2008/0801w.widmer.html : http://susiemadrak.com/2008/01/29/10/11/ask-not/ : And then there's this: http://www.truthnews.us/?p=1918
-
No and frankly I'm weary of the comparison.
-
No, he doesn't have nearly the experience or political savy that JFK did.
-
I think he WANTS to be...
-
I think I've already asked this question. :) http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/570340 But, yes. I think they have some interesting similarities...age, charisma, speaking skills.
-
I think people want him to be...
-
Not in any way. He is the anti-Christ.
-
No he is still alive, sort of
-
Only in the way that JFK was the first Catholic president, Obama will be the first muslim president.
-
Do you mean the jerk from kenya
-
NOt remotely. JFK was a war hero, believed in a strong stance against foreign powers who were not friendly to the US regardless of the UN's opinion, and he CUT taxes as president. Does that sound anything like Obama?
-
Actually I do and I don't particularly like either of them.
-
Hussein Obama is the new Karl Marx.
-
no
-
not even close
-
i think his campaign managers are certainly attempting to make it that way... right down to his wife's hairstyle.... no matter how hard he tries, he will never be close to JFK
-
Only when there is a teleprompter on hand.
-
no I think he may be the new antichrist tho
-
No, JFK did not have the socialist ideas of this leftist. The Democratic party has gone so much tot he left I call the Marxists. The guy even go so far as to remove the American flag from his plane and replace it with an "O". How sad too many people are falling for his propaganda
-
No. JFK was much more conservative than Obama.
-
I certainly hope not, considering JFK was assassinated. Peace.
-
I dont think there will be a Marilyn Monroe type in Obamas life.
-
If by new JFK you mean Magic bullet assassination - i think so
-
I don't think he has JFK's assortment of women ;)
-
There's actually an SNL skit addressing that. It's called The Barack Obama variety show. Go to the SNl website and find it under videos. It's funny.
-
He ia a 'amanation'
-
For now no but we will see what he is soon enough.
-
By that, do you mean a person with few or no experience to be President, someone who exemplifies style over substance, or someone the media loves and gives a free pass to? Read your history: JFK was an average to below avergae president based on PERFORMANCE. Stylistically, JFK was cool..just like Obama wants to be. Unfortunately for us, we need a president of substance and didn't get one.
-
Not even close.
-
As in he will get shot soon?
-
what?? the only thing in common they share is being a 'first' in the presidency...1st american catholic ,1st biracial american.... wan't it JFK who said to America, "ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country?" obama will never come close to his LOYALTY AND PATRIOTISM.....he seeks for himself ,what America and its ppl.'s can do for him ...give him all the POWER and CONTROL he so arrogantly is TAKING.... no dont be foolish....this man will prove to be like no other America has ever known or wanted ........there will and already is NO COMPARISON.......
-
President Barack Obama is what most forget to address him by, unlike all of our other Presidents. President Obama has some tall shoes to fill and JFK is not the tallest of shoes. Politically JFK had so much bullx#*? going on with him and that includes and ultimatitum that was given to him over the Civil Rights Act. His sense of morality, contrary to most beliefs was not the driving factor for the Whole Civil Rights thing. JFK I feel deeply cared about America and So Does President Obama. I would imagine it's a difficult thing to show America how much one cares because of the difficult decesions that must be made. Only the controversial matters will be associated with Pres. Obama's Presidency. Recognization for any "good deeds" will go un-noticed unless one researches what things his Administration accomplishes like many of our other Presidents. Nope not the new JFK, just a new President that will be known for something all together differnt than the time of JFK.
-
JFK always knew who he was and what he stood for..... Obama never has known either....very evasive, indecisive ,and partial person...... i think 'military ' experience ,service , should be a MUST in PRESIDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS from now on....economic experience would certainly help too.. i see obama for what he has been 'prepped' for ....a political and racial puppet.....he can't answer for anything ...and he evades VERY ARROGANTLY ......reminds me more of Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Johnny Cockran, OJ,etc. and their ilk....unaccountable but highly defensive.....Bill Cosby, MLK, etc., they can never be....wrong 'character' traits.....
-
maybe if he get´s shot before really being able to do something
-
JFK and Obama were both young democratic senators who became president--but the similarities stop at that point.
-
ROFLMAO!!!! OMG! Hahahahahahahaha!
-
As a charismatic figure, maybe. Obama is much more liberal that JFK was.
-
He is the new Jimmy Carter. All he needs is a peanut plantation
-
Definately not.
-
ROTFLMAO!........keep the jokes coming!
-
They're both rock stars, rather than politicians, who can do no wrong in the eyes of the left and the media.
-
Until you elaborate on your question, I would have to say "no".
-
No way. JFK was a good president. If you are referring to an assassination I would have to say no, not yet at least. Even if something does happen to him, things wouldn't change. Bidden wouldn't do any better. I always suspected that the white supremacists would do something but luckily nothing yet, even though I think Obama is shit for a president.
-
NO, Barack Obama is a radical leftwing Marxist. JFK was a true Democrat. How can people even compare the two. Obama is as radical as we have never seen before. God help us
-
No ,many people swore years ago he was the Messiah. Time proved they hallucinated.
-
Oh, be serious!
