I have intervened in similar circumstances - risked my life to stop a crime in progress. I acted without thinking. Thus I would have to conclude that I would act without thinking taking the consequences as they came.

well, because i'm a girl, i wouldn't necessarily run into the alley because then me and the girl could both be raped and killed. i would immediately start yelling for help, call the police on my cell phone, and find some people...strong people.

I would yell fire...people always come running when they hear that....I would hope that would scare them into leaving.

I would at the very least get help, call 911, get a description of the men, etc. I would not "just keep walking" that is for sure. I would most likely try and get help then try and stop them. They may kill me, but one of them will at least lose an eye before I go down.

First and foremost I would immediately call the police. Next I would find the nearest large solid objest and proceed to beat the living crap out of both of em with it.

I'm a concealed gun carrier so if I were to walk up on such a scene I would shot both men,preferably in the ass so they can stand trial then help the woman to safety.

it would depend on how they would clearly kill me i don't know for sure but if I got involved knowing the police today~` they might give me a ticket for disturbing the piece? Remember the security guard who was fired to going after the robber? They said he did wrong and he was fired for causinga endangerment to the other people~~ bull chit

It's a shame to say that there's many things you learn to block out or avoid seeing when living in cities. it's adaptation. But there's no way I could walk by that and not try to stop it somehow.

I would be glad that I had a conceal carry and had spent many hours at the range.

The keyword is "could" kill me, not "will" kill me. I'd take my chances and brutally punish the rapists the best I could.

Although I would be scared beyond all belief, I would immediately call the police via my cellphone, scream at the top of my lungs, and rush in to try and help.

I'm usually armed with bear mace (which, you know, is for bears and has a 7.5 second stream). I would mace the living hell out of them and call the cops.

Call 911, yell at them then take a picture of them. Take my chances on getting dead, but not without trying to get them caught in the long run.

If I was SCARED of the men (which is not something I normally do), I would call 911. If I was NOT scared, I would shout/yell try to scare them off. (They don't want to be caught, after all. Most criminals in the act will run once they become aware of a witness to the crime.) Most likely I'd yell something like, "Hey, hey! What are you doing! I'm calling the police!"

I'd get on my cell and say "Police, corner of 5th & Pine" "Yeah girl getting raped" "My Name is Bill Oates" "She's about 25 etc, etc, etc, This has worked before. It even works on a broken cell phone. Also take a flash picture. that stops them every time.
