Not if I had knowledge that they were stolen or they were being sold for a price that was way too low. That would be a tip off that the goods were more than likely stolen.
-
Depends on where they were stolen from. I wouldn't feel right if they were stole from an individual, but if they were stolen from a store (it also depends on how much said goods cost), I might buy them, although I know it's not right.
-
No, somebody has suffered by losing them and by buying them I would be rewarding a thief and therefore condoning their actions.
-
Yup a diddly do.
-
No I would not now, but that is not to say I have not done at some time in the past.
-
yea, then i wouldnt have to steal them myself, DUH! lol
-
No....I would be considered an Accessory-after-the-fact of the robbery of the goods and then I would be an accomplice in a known crime. If I really need the items...I will wait until I saved up enough money to purchase them legally - possibly at a bargain price.
-
No. They are stolen for one thing and another thing, I would suspect the condition and working order of the item. I want to be able to go back to someone and say, "why isn't this working?" Plus I don't want to support any thief.
-
maybe, depends on if i really want or need it or not.
-
no I wouldn't
-
Nope. I only shop where I can get a legitimate receipt.
-
No, I wouldn't buy anything that I knew was stolen (or seemed suspect), and I would alert the police that it was happening.
-
Knowing they were stolen, no I wouldn't.
-
No, I wouldn't particulary after being the victim of having my house broken into for someone to steal things and later try to sell.
-
No. I wonder about stuff on Ebay if it was stolen or not. I saw a Dateline expose on stolen Ipods and most people that purchased them at flea markets or other non-retail locations should have known they were hot.
-
No. I consider it bad form and bad karma. most of the things that people would try to get me to buy is heavy equippment upwards of $20,000 alot of the high ticket items have lojack. at the very least you need a part for your machine or you take it in for service and they run the serial number ,YOU will be out your investment just like victim number one. and you will deserve it by trying to cash in on someone elses misfortune.
-
If I knew who the owner of the stolen goods was... then yes and I would give them back to them... If I didn't... then yes... lol.. muahahaha
-
No, I would take them. The thieves deserve no compensation from selling them, and they don't deserve to be in possession of the goods. What I did next with the goods would depend on a bunch of factors, but my own personal benefit would not be a consideration. The first consideration would be to give the thief a really bad day.
-
Of course! Got any?
-
No !! I would never knowingly buy stolen goods. That only encourages scumbags to steal.
-
That's what eBay and CraigsList are for! Seriously, though, there are so many legitimate retailers online that I don't see the point. I pay through my credit card, so that would offer me financial protection in case of shady dealings.
-
Depends on knowledge, risk and need.. but generally no.
-
As long as you have people that will buy stolen merchandise, there will be thieves that will steal it. I arrested a deputy sheriff for buying a hot 850.00 dollar riding lawnmower for 50.00, from a thief. Greed will catch you every time.
-
No, or else I would be guilty of the theft too
-
depends on what goods, but probaby yeah
-
Thats the best time! Never get stitched-up paying over the odds for moody goods...
-
No, never. With these goods we can buy tears of those people, whose thinhgs are stolen.
-
If i didnt know they were stolen yes of course
-
No I want nothing to do with stolen properity...And it wouldn't be very nice for my nephew to have to throw me in jail.lol lol..
-
Not if I knew they were stolen!
-
No I wouldn't. Thats almost as bad as taking them youself plus if found out you could be charged with receiving stolen property. I wouldn't touch it.
-
Absolutely.
-
Maybe if I wasn't exactly told they were stolen. And depends on what kind of "stolen" goods we are talking about. If it was media or software, yeah probaly. But then I wouldn't have to pay for it.
-
Absolutely, people are robbed everyday, this word is NOT a fair or just place. I know better than to give up on a wicked sale like that.
-
Only if I knew that they would get sold anyways or I really, really needed the goods.
-
No,no,no.
-
no no no no
-
no way that is bad!!!
-
It may sound like a good idea at the moment, but sooner or later, you will hear a knock on your door and a uniform there to arrest you. As long as there are people, who buy stolen property, there will always be thieves to steal it.
-
I would buy a stolen bike if I know the bike to be mine. My name and phone number are engraved on it. Then I would report it as recovered.
-
you all suck, i would buy all the shit i can pay for
-
If I know the item to be mine, then yes. Otherwise no. All except one of my bikes have my name and phone number engraved on the top tube.
