  • Might turn out to be a true case somewhere, but the claims were all baseless.

A hell of a lot of youtubers that say they live in springfield say they are. What is your source for saying they aren't?

I have a couple cousins in Springfield, and many friends who live or work there. They've complained about the crazy driving but no one believes the eating petsclaims. Also Trump tends to only ever be half right about stuff like this, so I consider the source dubious. But mainly because people investigated all of the claims and the deeper you dig, the more bullshit you find.

@bostjan, driving is a complex activity beyond just operating a vehicle on the road. It involves a profound interplay of human behavior, cognition and decision-making. Crazy driving is to have a reckless personality. Me and stevo are not claiming Haitians are savages or that Trump was right for demonizing them. We base our understanding on the possibilities.
  • In Third World countries: pollution, environmental degradation, illegal animal fights, cruelty to pets and many other practices are common. Haiti has nearly 5 million people going through extreme hunger because of conflict, extreme weather events and soaring inflation. I've talked to a Republican veteran back in 2022. He spoke of their terrible living conditions, the hunger crisis, the protection-seeking migration at the border, the desire to come to the US and how EASY it would be for Haitians to live in America in comparison to their country. Springfield officials say there is no proof of animal cruelty going on. It's the Springfield longtime residents who claim animals have been disappearing from the parks, streets to even from their home premises. What is true, snatching animals for slaughter in villages is something Haitians are not shy about.

They come here and get food stamps, so the motive is gone, even if the habit is somehow still there.

Food stamps is one thing, but slaughtering animals is a habit they have learned from one generation to the other. Fact: there's nothing better than eating fresh food.
