I lived in a caravan (trailer) for a while. The rent was cheap but the lack of facilities (water, electricity etc.) was a bit of a bind & the temperature was always wrong...

It would depend on how well-equipped it was. I'm not sure I'd want to drive one -- you really need special instruction to drive the large ones -- but I understand some can be quite comfortable.

My mom bought a 5th wheel 32ft when I was in 6th grade we lived in it basically till I graduated high school. My stepfather was a carpenter and we moved a lot. But we had water, power, heat, air, and even backup battery lighting if the power went out. My ex and I lived in a little camper for a while, but he hated it. I bought a big trailer to live in. Had it paid for by the time I was 40, lost it when I got sick. I think its a good idea for those who can't afford a house that are able to maintain a place. I'm too old to worry about that now. If something breaks I call maintenance and let them tend to it. And no more grass to cut every week! Plus I have a pool I don't have to clean or maintain. Don't forget to figure in the insurance and tags, moving costs, etc.

I wouldn't do it for any price. Its called "Quality of Life" and you can't put a price on it. Sure it would save money but you'd also be miserable all the time. What's the point?😕 Your living space is the most important possession you have.
