I recently got a used car. I paid $4,500 for the down payment and signed terms, gave them my proof of income, and drove off the lot. 2 weeks later they called and said that the bank didn't approve my loan and i'll need to bring the car back. What can I do? Who can I contact? I'm in Louisiana.

Do you have a copy of the contract? Did you read it? If not, start there. If your contract says anything about a 30 day term to rescind or rewrite the contract, you might be boned. This is a scam that sometimes happens and relies on the fact that 95% of people don't read their contracts before signing them. If that is the case, contact the dealer and work out how you can get your money back in exchange for the car. Either way, the dealer gets screwed over as well, since they thought they sold a car, but their lender decided to scam you both and hope to make $4500 for nothing, so the dealer might be able to help you.
