  • Hydrogen Peroxide is an effective chemical tool that is extremely aggressive toward proteins. If the stains on your teeth are from drinking coffee or using tobacco, they are probably proteins that attach to the outside of the tooth enamel. If the stains are something going on with the dentine inside of the tooth, then the enamel is too thin, the peroxide may soak through the enamel and damage the dentine, causing the enamel to crumble away (since it will no longer be held in place by the dentine). So yes, but be careful. It's always advisable to speak to your dentist rather than risk destroying your teeth.
