When I was a child I was afraid to tell my mother my stepfathers molested me because when my sisters did she said they were jealous and lying and then my sisters were sent away and I didn't have contact with them anymore so I didn't think my mom would believe me and then I would be sent away to a foster home and wouldn't see my family anymore and my mom who was all I had left at that point would be mad at me. That's heavy stuff for a kid who barely understands it. As everyone can see my courage has grown!
