The Bible principle written in Matthew 7:12 states “ All things, therefore, that you want men to do to you, you also must do to them.” Although Jesus spoke these words, even non-Christians consider this to be the “golden rule” by which all of us should live by.

bostjan the adequate 🥉Yes, but almost not in Indiana, a bill defining pi as exactly 3.2 unanimously passed the state house and very nearly passed in the state senate.

www.bible-reviews.comWow! Didn't they ask a mathematician about this first? I guess you *could* dictate mathematics by law, but it would sure cause a lot of problems. Think about math textbooks, that (I suppose) would - by law - have to use the the legally-established value of pi or could not be used in the state.

bostjan the adequate 🥉I don't think anyone asked a mathematician, but one spoke to the senate just before the vote, which probably resulted in the bill's failure there. Even as it is, Texas, for instance, has some regulations on how textbooks can present information regarding fossil fuels and climate change, that other states do not have. Since Texas is such a big state with so many schools using so many textbooks, it has a broad effect on the entire nation. A state like Indiana might not have as much influence, but, in any case, I'm glad that this was not passed into law.
