Should I clear up this misunderstanding of my awkward honest mishap?
So 2 days ago , I was in the gym working out when I saw a new friend walk in who I was supposed to help the following day with his workout plan since it was his 1 day off from work and I would get off early.
After my set, I walked over to confirm the meetup. I gave him a handshake & half bro hug (the kind guys give). We talked for about 30sec & I was about to go back to my workout when I decided to give the same handshake as before but due to the way we were standing (sort of an " L " formation, his front view facing my left shoulder) my left hand gave the half hug before the handshake & the right hand came up too high (near his right shoulder) & it appeared like I was about to hug him up high! I snatched my right hand down, said sorry, he said it's alright and I played it off by saying "alright so I'll text you when I am ready to meet tomorrow."
The problem arose when he texts me the next morning saying he can't make the meetup with no explanation. I replied "That's cool".
I feel like he misinterpreted my honest mistake. I was extremely tired from work that day and feel like I should explain or maybe not. I am not attracted to guys and am very confident but I think he is embarrassed and confused as was I. I don't want rumors to spread although I don't really care but don't like lies spreading. Should I address this or just take it as he may not be as secure with himself in public and leave it be?
Thanks!
