I don't think there was ever an official policy to "reinstate" but teacher's just used it. I didn't grow up with it but I don't think it was the worst thing. The trouble is you would need to hire people just t regulate its use which would be too expensive so I say no it should not be.

01-02-2017 If you love a kid, it doesn't make much difference if you beat him or not. If you don't love a kid, it doesn't make much difference if you beat him or not. Actually, the only reason the teachers ever beat the kids was because they were too stupid to teach discipline any other way.

When I was in school, corporal punishment was widely used and students were generally better behavedythan they are now. The taxpayers can't afford the law suits but I'd like to see it come back.

Proverbs 1:8 states: "Listen, my son, to the discipline of your father,And do not forsake the instruction of your mother." According to this scripture, parents are responsible for the child's disclipline. Some parents disregard that concept altogether,or delegate it to family members or employees. The Bible makes it clear that parents who CHOOSE not to discipline their children suffer consequences later in life. (Pro 22:15, Pro 1:7, Pro 23:13, Pro 4:1)
