I think it was sweet and something young lovers would probably do then.
-
Eh, it works fine in the film, although realistically, if you did that on a boat you'd probably get arrested for jeopardizing your own safety.
-
I loved the entire movie! I really did! I found it very poignant! Beautifully romantic. . .sure!
-
In a world up to it's knickers in explicit sexual imagery, I think visual displays of romance are refreshing. So, Cheesy?... Absolutely not.
-
for me it was , cheap and cheesy, of course, i didn't like the movie at all, but that is just me
-
cheesy for todays standards, but romantic back when the film was set.
-
It was one those 'so romantic i wish it was me' moments, i loved the whole film and thought it was very poignantley done the whole way through:)+
-
The entire movie was stupid and just bunk.
-
Extremely Cheesy. really, who does that? If I saw a couple doing that I would probobly think that they watch way too many cheesy romance films. People just dont act like that.
-
Its kinda cute :D
-
oh by god beautifully romantic........ i LOVE that film...
-
A little of both, the way she says it with a little laugh makes it romantic, if she said it in a romantic way then it would have been cheesy. The whole movie was experession and action which made it romantic. If she died too or they both lived it would of been cheesy.
-
So romantic. I absolutely love that movie. It's my favorite :] If someone put me on top of some rails, to where i couldn't see them, and all i was looking at was the open ocean, i'd feel like i was flying too; along with being breathless :] I love that movie.
-
At the time I though it was romantic... I'm older & more synical now, which is a pity.
-
Lol, considering in the movie there was music that accompanied the scene, I'm pretty sure it would be pretty dull and cheesy without music. Just picture it..
-
I preferred the "I'm sailing" scene from "What About Bob", where Bill Murray's character is lashed to the mast of his psychiatrist's(Richard Dreyfus) sailboat.
-
Lmao! Yeah I really don't know why the hell she said that. I found it cheesy and retarded to say. It would have been better if she said "The sunset looks amazing from here!", but no...
-
Both - it's sweet and something people like to see, but I don't think it would happen in real life. But I'm ok with it.
-
Definitely the latter.
-
i think it is romantic! i want to find love like that one day!!!!
-
Both.
-
Cheesy but undoubtedly iconic as hell!
-
I'll bet actually standing on that point on the ship while at sea would have been breathtaking. I wouldn't call it cheesy.
-
Was romatic but its now been made cheap and cheesy other the years as it has been forced down peoples necks.
-
It's probably cheap and cheesy but I liked it anyway. I liked that whole movie except the end where Rose wouldn't move her ass over on that board and let Jack out of the freezing water!
-
Total cheese, but that's what the movie is about, so it worked.
-
I like the scene but I would take off the "I'm flying" line, it sounds exaggerated to me, somehow naive. I'd say something like "it's like flying jack... thanks" and then stick my tongue into his mouth. But maybe romance has died on me some time ago lol.
-
Romantic to women, cheesy to males.
-
Cheesy, but in an endearing way.If I were in Rose's place, I'd do the same thing.
-
Cheesy yes, but you have to look at if from the point of view of the movie that wanted to show the blossoming love between the two characters. They were stuck on this large ship and had to find whatever they could to entertain themselves unaware of the terrible tragedy that was only like a day away. Whether they would have met in real life, they came for opposite ends of society and be allowed to access that part of the ship (very dangerous) is another matter.
-
The movie was very romantic but so over advertised that I didn't want to even see it. It was well done I guess, but just another disaster story.
