  • Find out what type of laptop you have, and whether it has spare ports for memory. If so, see what kind you need and buy them, if not check if you can buy larger memory in single units that can replace your current memory. If you tell me what laptop you have maybe I can help?
  • What's your laptop Make and Model? If you go to the RAM main manufacturers, like Kingston, you enter that information and they tell you the RAM type that your laptop can handle: http://www.kingston.com/ You may find cheaper, but you don't know what brand you are getting, going to this site: http://www.oempcworld.com/ I have purchased from them, everything has been OK. They also have a system where you will find the memory that you need. Good Luck!
  • There is usually a small panel on the bottom where the memory sticks are located. Sometimes, you have to remove the keyboard.
