It can't be too different from milking a goat, so got the theory but not the practice
-
Yes. Learned in grade school, it seemed to be a favorite activity to do with kids at fairs.
-
I do know how. I also know how to change a nasty diaper. I try to never do either .. on principle.
-
Nope. Not a clue...
-
Yes, I've seen it on TV a few times. :-)
-
Yes ... it has been many years, but I have done so in the past ...
-
Yes.
-
Yes and a goat, too. We had a herd of goats and one cow for many years.

I grew up on a farm... Thus I know such things as how to milk a cow, How to milk a goat (basically the same, cows are easier to deal with then goats) how to slop pigs, how to find duck eggs in the pond, how to curry comb a horse, how to lob bales of hay up into the barn loft (I also know the difference between a bale of hay and a bale of straw). Candled eggs, hand harvested feed corn, know how painful and difficult and time consuming decobbing feed corn can be, learned how to correctly plant tomatoes, how to identify several species of pest and many varities of crop disease on a glance. I also was driving a tractor at age 14, Chopping wood at age 12, and as far back as I could remember I was feeding chickens and mucking out coop, stall and barn (removing old straw and manure from such areas where critters congregate). The only thing I don't know about farming is how to turn a real profit doing it..... ;-)

how hard would you laugh if I said yes??? My grand parents owned a dairy farm
-
Of course. I was taught that by parents at an early age. My family were farmers and we milked up to 12 cows by hand until we got a milking machine.
-
Very easy, take away the calf and squeeze its boobs! lol
-
Not a clue...you can take the girl outta the city, but it's a little harder to take the city outta the girl!
-
Yes. I've milked cows, goats, sheep and horses and made cheeses from all the different milks. Horse milk is the highest in protein of all the domesticated animals; the cheese is stringy like mazzarella, but not as creamy.
-
Yes ... i've done it before at a dairy farm.
-
Cows, goats, and people... for money though, not milk!
-
Yes. Ive done it before, though its been many years since I last did but I'm sure I could still do it.
-
Do I "know" how? yes.... Could I actually milk one? maybe...
-

-
Now, but I really don't want to.
