I have never seen it and I never will, I hate the idea so much of making a film about a fairly modern tragedy and turning the story into a yucky romance. So that's a "no".
-
definitely. best cg graphics at the time. felt like u were in it.
-
Not particularly. I tend to dislike films where historical events are turned into a soppy love stories. I am sure I am in the minority, but since there is no right or wrong answer. . .that's mine.
-
i saw it in the theaters and i never laughed so hard in my life when watching the boat sink..it was so funny.
-
No, I think it was fluff. It didn't add anything to my understanding of the incident, I didn't buy the chemistry between the leads and if I hear that song once more it may send me looking for the lifeboat too.
-
It was an OK movie well overhyped. As in my opinion were the stars of the movie too. I have seen the old Black and White version on TV and think it was a better film and closer to the real story.
-
Yes because it felt so real. I don't like how the story ended but the movie was done perfectly.
-
Its one of my favorite movies.
-
Well it was ok, till the end. I lived in the Arctic and happened to fall into very cold water. I couldn't even call out for help (luckily someone saw me fall), that's how fast that cold gets thru you. Yet Leo was hanging on to that debris, in that water full of ice, giving his little speech about how he loved the gal, and I was thinking bullshit. They went to so much trouble about historical accuracy and then totally blew it at the end.

I love itt
-
I cannot tell you how much I hated it. Let me put it this way, that is 3 hours I wish I had back.
-
the greatest comedy of all times
-
I loved it...I just wish that Jack had lived, and I wondered, while watching the movie, why did she steal the board..and why he wasn't bright enough to find his own board to drift along on! That movie made me cry like a baby! lol
-
The movie was visually beautiful, but the writing and acting sucked. The funniest part was when Kate's character says "I'll never let go, Jack. I'll never let go." And then lets go of him.
-
yup.
-
I loved it when it came out, I saw it like 35 times that year.... With that being said, I could probably never see it again.
-
i dont like it, i LOOOVE it...i just cry straight up in that moviee...its SO SAD...its just soo nicee and wen u watch it its so reall..its kind of like ur in the ship with themmm...its a GREAT movie one of my faves EVERRR....and then just seeing the enddd, its like heartbreakingg...plus how she says they couldnt even find the guy in the ocean even!not even in the ocean....and i saw this beautiful picture quoting rose from the movie and it said... he saved me. in every way a person could be saved. i dont even have a picture of him. he exists now, only in my memory. -Rose, Titanic isnt that the SWEETEST, SADDEST thing EVER?
-
I have never seen it. I've no intent to see it. If that's not a statement, I don't know what is.
-
Yeah, it was good. I went to see it in theatres when it first came out.
-
No. I saw part of it, but it had no historical significance so I turned the DVD player off and took it back. If they wanted to make a love story out of the Titanic, they should have done one of Isadore and Ida Strauss Love is what Mr. and Mrs. Strauss shared. Mrs. Ida Strauss was one of the few first class women passengers to go down with the Titanic in 1912, and she drowned because she could not bear to leave her husband. The Strauss' remained calm throughout the excitement of the sinking vessel. They both aided frightened women and children to find places aboard lifeboats. Finally, Mr. Strauss, who had repeatedly urged his wife to claim a spot safely aboard a lifeboat, forced her to enter one. She was seated but a moment, however, when she sprang up and climbed back on deck before he could stop her. There, she caught his arm, snuggling it familiarly against her side, and exclaimed, "We have been long together for a great many years. We are old now. Where you go, I will go." For them, true love was about commitment. And it was about faithfulness. And sacrifice. Not everyone finds such love in another person -- though it is a beautiful thing when it occurs. that's a true love story.
-
yes and no. there were so many incongrous things...like them running round in the ship soaking wet. They would have been freezing even before they got off. And how old was she supposed to be? She was engaged, but didn't seem more than about 15. I know times have changed but... Still the costuming and scenery were magnificent, and Billy Zane was evilly gorgeous.
-
Despite all the hype and it being an ultimate chick flick and whatnot, i still love it. haha. i can hardly bear to watch it cuz it's so heart wrenchingly romantic.
-
Yea I liked it because it was very touching. I loved the costumes and cinematography.
-
I like it so much but I recently got the new 4 disc special and saw all the deleted scenes,THEY WERE SO GOOD!!! They should of god rid of all the old lady bits (which most of them don't really need to be in the film anyway) and replaced them with the deleted ones!
-
I like it. It's a good movie. :)
-
it is an amazing movie although there are alot of flaws
-
Very little: this is my second answer
-
Yes because I know of no other movie were a classy lady falls for a low class guy who teaches her how to spit. How can it get better than that?
-
I think it was well done, but not realistic. I know it was a fictionalized version of the tragedy, but I have been very interested in the true story of the Titanic for over 30 years, so I found myself noticing all the things that weren't true.
-
I have been very interested in the true story of the Titanic for over 30 years, so when I saw the James Cameron movie, all I could do was sit there and pick out places where the movie deviated from the actual situation. So, although it was fairly well done, it didn't do much for me.
-
Yah I liked the movie
-
I like the original it was much better.
-
It is my fifth fave movie of all time. YES!!!!!
-
No, I didn't like it. don't get me wrong... the sets, effects, costumes and so forth were magnificent, but the cliche romance story got old pretty fast, as did some of the acting. Also, I have trouble sitting through three hour movies. My bag of Sour Patch Kids only lasts about 90 minutes, then I'm bored and hyper and want to go home.
-
Yep.
-
Its a pretty good movie but its one of those movies that you can only watch about once a year.
-
Yes. "Titanic" is the best movie from true story. see more this titanic story at http://detikvideo.com/titanic
-
It would be in my top 20, but not in my top 10.
-
Yes I cried like a baby when I watched it
-
Kinda it's too sad to watch!
