I would not recommend too low of a setting. this will cost you. since the apartment is unoccupied, human comfort is not the problem. 75 degrees should be about right. This setting will keep down the humidity and will not break your bank account.

75 is colder than most people keep the thermostat when they are home. We currently leave it on 85 for a south texas location and still have electric bills in 130 range in summer, but no mold.
