It's easy to understand if you remember this: - The legislature makes laws. The more laws they make, the happier they get: lots of laws = lots of happiness. They don't actually have a real job. - The judiciary decides which laws are bad and throws them out. Then they ignore the ones that they don't like in certain situations. Then they make up secret laws by refining the meaning of existing laws. They don't actually have a real job. - The executive branch does everything. They don't get to make any laws, or throw any out, but they can decide whether or not to actually do something. Most of the time, they decide to go on expensive vacations at taxpayer expense, but sometimes they make speeches instead. They also get to appoint the judiciary people sometimes, and that can be fun.
