Of course, through the key hole!
-
when they are sleeping santa comes from the window lol...
-
We have never made Santa a part of Christmas for our children.
-
Keyhole magic always trumps. . .
-
Teleportation. That's one of Santa's hidden powers.
-
In the other 11 months, Santa is a locksmith.
-
through the front door.
-
Cos I'm up in the early hours of the morning due to my work, I used to tell them he knocked on the door and I let him in. We'd then have a drink and a chat while he warmed himself up before leaving to continue his work. They were in awe with my stories about Santa's visit and asked lots of questions. Ahhhhhh those were the days!!!!!
-
i am a kid haha and my mom and dad never said how santa got in but i always thought he came in from the front porch lol haha
-
cuz Santa doesn't exist
-
We didn't do Santa. I remember being totally crushed when I found out Santa wasn't real. We've also read the entire Laura Ingalls Wilder series twice, and Laura talks about when she became aware that Santa wasn't real, and felt responsibility for making Christmas for the rest of the family. So Little Bit would've already found out it wasn't real. So we just skipped it.
-
breaking and entering through the front door
-
Oh wait, better answer. In the other eleven months, Santa is a cat burglar. That's how he gets all the presents. This way, after you can return all the presents, get your money back and tell the kids, "Santa stole 'em!"
-
I just figured he came in through the heater vent.
-
Beamed himself in.
-
He knocks on the door and I let him in. Because, we are old frat buddies.
-
Our parents told us that they would leave the door unlocked before going to sleep.
-
Magic.
-
He opens a wormhole through the roof using the quantum singularity that powers his sleigh Once the wormhole is deactivated, normal space-time is restored and the roof is fixed
-
I would say "billy, there is no santa, but if there was I guess he would use his magical powers just like jesus christ and just zappo himself into the house....but on second thought I guess if he was like jesus he would really just not bring any presents at all he would just not show up, tell you that when you die you get all kinds of good presents but you have to be really good and follow a bunch of confusing rules and commandments....." luckily for me I have no children and I don't believe in santa or jesus.
-
I would NEVER say "magic" because I just.. I want my kids to stay as close to reality as possible but still use their imaginations. If I give them Santa AND magic, and then they find out NEITHER are real; then I'm really screwed. I'll just say he uses the septic tank :/ lol
-
You could give them magical powers a la Bewitched.
-
I don't have to explain, that Santa is a sneaky one and even I don't know how he pulls this stuff off!
-
My children always lived in a house with a fire place. I, however, never grew up in a house with one. It was just understood that he would come in the front door. We lived on a farm and I don't remember anything at all about ever locking the doors.
-
Santa belays off the roof and enters through the window. Make sure you leave a window open otherwise santa has to break the window. Belaying is a mountain climbing technique where you make a decent down a sheer face or wall using a rope attached to a fixed object at the top. Most reindeer powered sleigh operators have belaying skills and equiptment. Just pray they don't ask how Santa gets back up to the roof...trampoline? No, the rope is tied to Blitzen, Santa ties in and Blitzen walks across the roof to pull Santa up.
-
He uses majic :) hence y he is Santa. Heck, if he can visit every single home in the world in one night on a sleigh pulled by flying reindeer, I think your children will understand that he can "somehow" get into the house without a fireplace :)
-
my parrents discredited themselves in my eyes trying to convince me santa was real. even if I hadn't been smart enough to see through the fake santa they hired when I was 5, they would still have been discredited in the future and then I would have been pissed too because I had been decieved. why would I decieve my son? even at 2 he knows that if daddy sayes "ok you can have ... after ..." he will get it provided he behaves (which he usualy does). daddy does not lie. one does not have to believe a story to enjoy it. I doubt jacob believes little bear or the backyardigans are real but he loves watching them on TV. however if he wants a story I think I'll follow this line http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/4686345
-
Kids will believe whatever.
-
yes i havea fire place, but mylittle one likes the santa clause movie that shows the fireplaces appear by magic, even in homes without one.:)
-
I have never believed in Santa and as a kid my parents never told me about him. As a family, we always celebrate Christmas and the whole gift buying process but I always knew my parents were buying the gifts for me. We merely used Christmas as an excuse for the entire extended family to get together and celebrate with a large party.
-
I tell my kids. Santa comes up from the basement.lol Another good one would be, Santa comes in through the kitchen window, because the kitchen is always the closest room to the living room.
-
We've always been told 'he comes in through the crawl space in the wall' but we look there every year for foot prints in the dust. Nothing...we've got some other theories we're gonna test this year.
-
He puts it through the window and anyway He can walk through anything!
-
Me !!!
-
I always told them to make sure the front door was unlocked. Santa would lock it when he left. So I could lock it and go to bed after them.
-
If you have a fireplace, do you put the fire out so he can get in?
-
Thru the doggie door
-
Since Santa is magical, keyholes work as well as chimney's. :) ((hugs))
-
Tell the kids you leave the door open and lock it after he leaves.
-
We didn't have a fireplace when I was growing up so my dad told us that Santa has a key for each house that doesn't have a chimny so he could deliver the gifts. :)
-
I like this question, I didn't wonder about the fireplace I just remember thinking, why did Santa use our wrapping paper?
-
The door. My mom always told me he used the door, and, frankly, that was enough for me. The mechanics of a fat man carrying a giant bag of presents through a locked front door never occurred to me.
-
Put a muddy footprint on the window-sill, and let them find the answer for themselves. :)
-
Now that I think about it ... he never asked. He was just happy Santa got in and didn't care how he did it.
-
My parents told me he came in the front door and that they had to pay him. That's why they waited up. I had asked if they had to pay Santa. They told me, "Of course!" I understood. How else could he afford such a distribution network and all the staff involved. That explained what already seemed to me to be a disparity in what some kids received and others did. Santa had a good heart but was limited by market conditions. I also wondered how there could be so many all over the place and they explained it in a way I could grasp. Santa was sort of a corporation with branch offices and many representatives. My Dad also had an explanation for how department store owners celebrated Christmas even if they were atheists. He said that on Christmas Eve they would become very religious. They would go to one of their shops, stand around empty racks, and sing "What a Friend We Have in Jesus." Dad was sort of a pragmatist. Later, I began to learn about the real, historical St. Nicolas and that helped me grasp the symbolism and beauty of the whole Santa story.
-
Just tell em' he's fake already! lol jk Say Santa has a battering ram for the front door :D
-
I think our parents said that he came in through the vents or something. Cos we have 4 or so vents.
-
my parents always told me that he came in threw the key hole... i know its funnny but i was soo unsmart when i was young
-
my parents told me that Santa can get into anyone's house no matter if they had a fireplace. what Santa does is he uses those pipes that you see on the roof, and he comes down those pipes and a fireplace will open up right by the tree so he can give all the good little boys and girls there presents. then of course we had to try to stay up and see Santa.
-
Here's a thought: don't lie to your child. Are children so stupid they can't engage in the fun of fantasy without thinking it's factual reality? If so, why do they love the "Narnia" books and "Lord of the Rings" and Winnie the Pooh and Le Petit Prince? Everyone sets it up like it's either kids believe in Santa Claus as fact, or else it's a "Miracle on 34th St" thing where the kid can't get any joy out of Santa or Christmas at all, knowing it's not "true." I think that totally underestimates kids.
-
He is magical
-
Expalin he can't get in. It's a great excuse not to buy them any toys.
-
He comes in thru the window. The same way the boogeyman does.
-
We use to have to make a fake fireplace and that settled the problem for us.
-
We do have a fireplace, but Santa comes in from the front door
-
he kicks in the front door, and wears a ski mask, because he is a vigilante, and vigilantes wear masks
-
Comes thru the a/c vents is what we tell the grandkids.
-
an invisible door that only santa can see. :-)
-
Through the cat flap.
