Probably nothing, just look at them like their goofy
-
I wouldn't say anything, its quite normal to talk to yourself (I do it all the time...) BUT... I'd certainly panic if I saw them listening to the answers though !!!!
-
Nothing. I wouldn't want to interrupt his conversation ;)
-
"Excuse me, I didn't quite get that. Could you repeat it?" Repeat ad nauseam. It'll cure your co-worker.
-
Id ask if I could join in the conversation (**,)
-
Ask them to keep the conversation low because they're talking too loud and bothering me.
-
I wouldn't say anything. I'd butt out. It's a private conversation. Unless I were invited to join, I'd go about my business. I talk to myself on occasion..I don't want anyone crashing in and destroying the rhythm! :)
-
As long as they didnt answer themselves, I wouldnt say anything!!! LOL
-
I'd tell them that the cia is monitoring every word he is saying via satellite.
-
I would say " Hey could you tone it down please, i am trying to talk to myself. " :)
-
I'd let them do the talking.
-
Not a lot, too busy talking to myself!
-
It depends what sort of talking to himself he was doing! If it's all the time, it would be irritating and I would ask him if he could keep it to himself because, although its nice to know someone is around, you find it difficult to concentrate on what you are doing. However, if it is the 'insane' type I wouldn't say anything, but would warn my boss to keep an eye on him.
-
it is normal to talk to yourself. questionable to argue with yourself. you have problems if you lose the argument.
-
i would say: "excuse me, sorry to interrupt, but is that my stapler?"
-
Nothing he is probably using a bluetooth
-
As long as he talks to himself, and as long he/she releases steam at the same time - that's a good thing...I wouldn't say anything!!
-
If work with programmers, you'll find a lot of them talk to themselves (or the computer). It's something you find yourself doing unconsciously.
-
Nothing, as long as they aren't bothering me, it's all good. Besides I talk to myself all the time...>_>
-
"Hi guys, what's up?"
-
I always talk to myself at work, either that or I am singing to myself, one or the other. I'm sure some people think I am plenty weird, but who cares? My job gets done well.
-
It's none of my business plus I assume I could get in trouble for harrassing them and get fired for it so I'd do nothing.
-
I would probably eaves drop them and hide around the corner and when they asked a question I would the answer. Then they'd really think they were hearing voices.
-
you must never be lonely
-
I thought i asked this question. I do work with someone who talks to himself so much its borderline creepy. He's never been married nor has had kids.
-
"May I join you?"
-
Shut up, I can't hear the voices in my head! Seriously, it would depend on what they were talking about. Talking your way through a problem, or self-talk, is a sign of intelligence and it is typically the thing that kids with learning disabilities don't know how to do.
-
Hey,how are you guys doing.
-
Nothing - their not talking to me are they. I don't wanna interupt.
-
Nothing, unless they said something to me first. I always try to be friendly towards people like that. They're the ones that end up on the clock tower with rifles after work.
-
I would ask them who they're talking to, because that is exactly what I did to my co-worker this morning. I always thought I heard her talking to herself, but today I was sure of it so I asked her. I don't talk to myself, so couldn't understand. She says she does it all the time and no one else seems to mind. I thought, O Well, Okay then, OkieDokie, still seems weird to me.
-
I just let it go.
-
oooooooo sweeeeeeeet, now I don't feel so alone. ;+
-
i'd make jokes and say stuff like "who ya talkin to over there Joe?"
-
It's kind of weird though. I think we all talk aloud sometimes.
-
"Would be at all possible for you to shut the fuck up for a few minutes?" (yes, I do have an irritating co-worker who just goes on and on even when nobody's listening)
-
I'd tell em to keep it down because I'm having a hard time of talking to myself............
-
I often say, "I beg your pardon, what did you want to know?"
-
I would SCREAM "Where's my red stapler!?!?" just to see who got it...
-
Are you talking to me? My 2 cents.
-
Nothing, apparently they found someone more amusing to conversate with. =P
-
Probably not much of anything, but I'd definitely call him Zaphod Beeblebrox to his face(s).
-
Excuse me, but are you studying lines for a play? Or just out of medication?
-
what mantra are you chanting?
-
Nothing, I'd be saying things myself
-
I'd think it was their own business but I talk to myself to try and drown out the noise from co-workers - if they are making irritating noise I will mutter "don't start" or "oh, for goodness sakes!". I don't think they hear me but maybe they might.
-
'huh I can't hear you, talk a little bit louder'
-
I'd ask "So... uhh, you want me to call you the crazy wagon buddy? If not watch out because the imaginary boss is right behind you and he sure as hell will!"
-
ill be like.. lolss ur thinking out load...:P or ill be like u need some sleep buddy or ill be like r u fine???
-
Wake up over there I can't hear you.......I know this answer sounds crazy....But its true. See I am self employed. But part time during the winter months I'll team up with a FRIEND in his job as a trucker. We'll I was just talking to him over the phone, as he pulled into a truck stop. He stated that he was going to try and get a few hours rest. I told him to make sure he did before he put that big rig back out there on the road. He stated he had to set his alarm clock & that was the last thing I heard him say. Until he started talking in his sleep...LOL...I told him to wake up, I can't hear you..As he partly woke back up. He ask me what I said? I told him to hang that phone up and get some sleep. And by the way, quite talking to yourself. If only I had a recorder .....LOL....This FRIEND of mine sometimes thinks I must have ESP..If he only knew how much he talks in his sleep with that cell phone still on. He would be shocked......And for all who had the time to read all of this answer. I'll now say to you WAKE UP OVER THERE AB'er.....Take care ya all & have a GREAT DAY........M.C.S.
-
I'd let it pass. I even had a co-worker who used to sing to himself and dance down the corridors.
-
Hey guys -- mind if I join in? :)
-
Nothing as he was not talking to me!!
-
DUDE I AM OVER HERE!!!
-
Nothing. Don't you know it's rude to talk when someone else is talking.
-
firstly this is the pscological problem not the behaviour of that person.some people always facing this kind of the problem because of the some personal issue or overthinking tendency or some family problems.genrally this happens when the person is alone in his life and nobody ready to understand him. so the better option is talk to him and try to understand his problems and also give some suggestions if possible.
-
I don't. I have a coworker who talks to herself all the time, and I just ignore her.
-
Nothing.
-
Nothing, because I do the same thing at times and so doesn't the co-worker across the aisle from me.. maybe it catchy!
-
My girlfriends ex had a similar problem. But he heard voices. I told him to kill himself.
-
We actually joke about this at work a lot because we all do it. :-)
-
I'm real big on minding my own business.
-
If he did it a lot and I knew him well I'd probably say. Who are you talking to? and smile :)
